Asian Pork Chops
One of my childhood favorite was when my mom cooked Filipino-style pork chops, and this is a play on that. Enjoy!

Prep time: 20 minutes to a few hours to marinate the pork chops
Cook time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
For marinade:
1/4 cup soy sauce (preferably low sodium)
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons sesame oil
For cooking:
2 center cut pork chops (about 1-inch thick or 12 ounces)
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and fresh ground pepper
Instructions
In a shallow dish, marinate the pork chops in soy sauce, cider vinegar, and sesame oil mixture for at least 20 minutes, or up to a few hours.
On medium high, heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large skillet or cast iron pan and wait til pan is hot. Sear the pork chops on both sides until cooked through.. It should take 5 minutes per side for 1-inch thick pork chops, as long as they were at room temperature when you started cooking them.
Cool for 5 minutes, serve with white rice and a garlic-sauteed leafy green, and Enjoy!
Optional Extras
For extra “side sauce” to serve with, mix 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 2 tablespoons sesame oil, and salt and pepper. Place on the table with a small bowl for serving.
If you’re making this with white rice, after you plate the pork chops, roll white rice in the same pan as the pork chop with soy sauce, garlic and butter, and heat on high for 2-3 minutes for flavorful “dirty rice” as I like to call it.
